The relationship with Finland-based Marimekko, so popular in the U.S. from the 60’s through the 90’s, began with personal history and passion. C2G founder, Lynn Shanahan, grew up in a family-owned apparel store that featured an in-store Marimekko shop. One of her first jobs was as a Marimekko shop specialist at Crate and Barrel. Lynn always loved the iconic brand, so when she heard Marimekko was considering a relaunch and global expansion, she immediately proposed a partnership.

Marimekko wanted to reintroduce the brand into the North American Market. Lynn and the C2Group were charged with creating a profitable subsidiary with plans for long-term sustainable growth.
